Happy Birthday To Us!

Yep, it's that time again. Another year has passed and the American Red Cross has achieved the grand old age of 129.

[If you're not mathmatically inclined, that means that we were founded on May 21, 1881.]

I'm not sure what to say about that other than, in comparison, I'm really young. Thanks for making me feel good about 33, Red Cross.

Sounds like a good excuse to make a Red Cross pizza, or perhaps a Red Cross cake make with red velvet...

And did you just reveal your age?

Ummm...my age plus 5, of course. I'm really only 28.

I was going to say you don't look a year over 27! And the American Red Cross doesn't look a year over... (wait, does the Red Cross like to be old?)

I'm honestly glad to be merely fourteen, between you two and my parents! XD

To the point. I'm celebrating by working on my disaster kit. And possibly abducting some brownie nix and frosting ingredients to make some Red Cross-themed brownies. :)

That brings up a good point! Why don't any of the Red Cross kit ideas suggest brownies? I would think that to be an essential!

I am SO going to locate some freeze-dried brownies for my kit! My mom doesn't like freeze-dried food, but I don't mind it. :)
If the Red Cross kit ideas don't suggest brownies, those ideas need to be added to! :P
A quick trip to MountainHouse.com reveals such things as Blueberry Cheesecake, Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Raspberry Crumble. I am SO getting some of those things for my kit!
